We are seeking a motivated and talented Data Science Intern to join our team for a 6-month internship opportunity. This position is ideal for individuals pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related fields, who are required to fulfill a mandatory internship as part of their academic curriculum.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be involved in a project focused on anomaly detection of mechanical production assets. As part of this project, the intern will work on expanding our in-house anomaly detection suite to incorporate machine learning anomaly detection models, including one-class Support Vector Machines (SVM), Isolation Forest, and auto-encoders.
- Research and understand various machine learning anomaly detection techniques.
- Collaborate with the data science team to implement and fine-tune machine learning models within our existing anomaly detection suite.
- Analyze time-series data from mechanical production assets to identify anomalies and develop solutions for predictive maintenance.
- Assist in the evaluation and optimization of machine learning models for real-world application in a production environment.
- Document and present findings and progress reports to the team and stakeholders.
Profile
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's (at least 4. Semester) or Master's program in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with machine learning anomaly detection techniques such as one-class SVM, Isolation Forest, and auto-encoders.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with relevant libraries/frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Proficiency in handling and analyzing time-series data is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
