Position title
Data Scientist Predictive Maintenance
Description

Introduction to the job

Are you an experienced data scientist that can generate actionable insights from Big Data? Are you able to identify, develop and apply the most effective and robust machine learning approach to analyze complex machine data and develop fit-for-purpose solutions to improve performance and diagnostics capabilities in our scanners? Do you consider it part of your job to inspire others and share your knowledge with your colleagues, then read on!

Data science at ASML is a broad and demanding domain which is positioned on the crossroads of the functional knowledge of our scanners and the data-driven capabilities on our Data and Digital Platform. A data scientist at ASML is often focused on translating the business problem to a data science problem, and developing fit-for-purpose models and solutions to drive value out of data together with functional experts. Therefore, proven affinity to technical domains like Lithography and preferably working knowledge of at least one relevant functional area at ASML is a prerequisite for being successful in the role of Data Scientist Predictive Maintenance.

Together with Machine Learning Engineers and Data Engineers you will support the implementation of data-driven models and solutions and nurture them towards production to support the operation of the most complex lithography machines in the world.

Role and responsibilities

As a Data Scientist you are responsible for:

  • Independent and creative investigation, predictive maintenance modeling and development, remaining useful lifetime, Machine Learning, Signal & Image processing, state space modeling, pattern recognition, feature extraction, evaluation of models, algorithms and pipelines
  • Work closely with domain experts to incorporate prior knowledge, find and validate relations between variables and to interpret predictive models
  • Ensure documentation and knowledge sharing at various levels in the organization
  • Provide quality output with the Agile team
  • Competence development of data science
  • Share your knowledge and insights with colleagues from different disciplines
  • Apply and further develop methodologies and models, generate new and innovative solutions and help deploy solutions
  • Leverage your professional network to accelerate knowledge and skills build-up
