Segula Technologies are a fast growing Engineering Consultancy firm with a background in Aerospace & Defence, Automotive, Energy and Rail sectors. We're looking for talent who want to join a growing team with the opportunity to grow their experience with a range of clients and multi-disciplinary projects. Your initial placement will be based with a prestigious Aerospace OEM in the south-west.

Job Description

The succesful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing and modeling suite components of products to meet program requirements, while ensuring designs meet cost and weight targets.
- Participating in design reviews during each phase of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
- Selection and application of appropriate materials and processes for each element.
- Ensuring successful integration of each design element within the product, participating in its validation (using methods such as prototyping, testing, and DFMEA).
- Delivering design solutions within agreed schedules and budgets.
- Communicating effectively with customers, suppliers, and OEMs throughout the design process.
- Following and contributing to the development of Best Practice guidelines.
- Checking engineering packages of work from other designers and offshore teams.
- Preparing drawings and models for approval.

Qualifications

- Previous experience and knowledge of Aircraft / Automotive seat design and surfaces is required
- Solid design engineering track record
- Proficient with 3D CAD / CATIA / Smarteam
- Good knowledge of manufacturing methods and design for manufacturing and assembly
- BMS Documentation - ECRs / Engineering changes experience
- Excellent communication skills

  • 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
