As a Data Scientist with a track record of using data to improve marketing and funnel strategies, you to be a pivotal part of our dynamic Team of 20+ data professionals, helping to unlock the full potential of our extensive datasets.

Here's a glimpse at what You'll be doing:

As a Data Scientist, your impact will be felt immediately across our product teams, sending ripples of innovation and improvement through our entire customer experience.

You'll be the go-to data expert supporting our marketing team, delivering unparalleled data-driven value that resonates. Using your skills in visualisations, in-depth data analyses, machine learning techniques, statistical analyses, and problem-solving you'll take the lead in transforming raw data, into actionable insights.

Here are just some of our data projects within Marketing you could be working on:

  • Develop custom attribution models to help understand paid channel influence on user journey and conversion 
  • Build on our LTV model to help understand our paid search campaign profitability
  • Unearth our marketing channel data and provide insights on channel performance
  • Expand our cohort analysis so we can direct specific funnel mechanics to customer groups
  • Understand user landing behaviour and work on landing optimisation for each channel

Requirements

We look for the following skills and experience. But when we’re hiring for this role, if you don’t have some of the skills and experience listed below, don’t let that stop you from applying!

We are looking for someone who:

  • Shares our passion for Twinkl’s mission
  • Has real-world experience as a data scientist working with marketing data
  • Has proficiency working with SQL and Python and has experience with any visualisation software (we currently use Tableau)
  • Has experience working with statistical analysis and probability theory
  • Has an understanding of digital marketing channels (e.g., SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing) and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as CTR, CPC, CPA, ROI, etc
  • Good to have but not essential: Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) to analyse customer feedback, sentiment analysis, etc
  • Is able to prioritise and work with deadlines
  • Can communicate complex findings and insights to an array of stakeholders including members of the Executive Team
  • Is collaborative and a supportive team member
  • Wants to use their data skills to positively impact a business and has previous examples of doing so
  • Wants to continue acquiring new skills and technologies to solve problems
  • Is comfortable with making decisions and strategic calls
