We are looking for data, data warehousing and analytics professional or other expert with reporting and analytics experience. In our team, you will collaborate with different business stakeholders and functions to fulfill their complex data, analytics, and reporting requirements. We are a centralized team of professionals that leads Valmet on its journey towards industry leading reporting and analytics capabilities.  

 

Depending on your background and expertise, your responsibilities could include: 

• Planning and leading complex end to end data warehousing and analytics projects, including overall responsibility of project deliveries, scope, and timelines. 

• Lead or participate in requirement gathering, data discovery, data modelling, data warehouse and report development together with our vendors. 

• Hands-on design, validation, training and testing. 

• Hands-on support, maintenance and continuous development of the current reporting and analytics content. 

• Hands-on development of pipelines and reporting models 

• Overall responsibility of an analytics domain. (e.g., finance, supply chain, production, sales) 

 

 

What we are looking for: 

 

• At least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 

• Over 5 years of experience working in data warehousing, analytics and reporting development projects. 

• Full working proficiency with SQL databases and queries 

• Experience of working with IT, business, and development partner representatives. 

• Ability to work independently and co-operate with different stakeholders 

• Solid communication skills in English.  

• Keen interest in following industry trends and best practices. 

 

Experience in any of these is considered as a benefit/plus: 

 

• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft PowerBI and Microsoft Fabric. 

• Experience with Python, PySpark 

• Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems 

• Finnish language skills /Ability to work and communicate in Finnish.

Additional information: 

 

The position can be located in Jyväskylä, Tampere, Hakkila in Vantaa or Järvenpää. Valmet is building a completely new, shared office building in the Tikkurila district of Vantaa for its employees currently working in Järvenpää and some of its employees currently working in Hakkila, Vantaa. We will move into the new offices in early 2025
