The Infrastructure Asset & Technology Practice is a vital component of this, enabling us to ensure customers' outcomes are realised in the projects we undertake and delivering bespoke sector-specific solutions to optimise asset performance.

AtkinsRéalis provides the opportunity to influence some of the most significant infrastructure programmes in the UK and develop and implement innovative solutions across the sector.

Our Infrastructure Asset & Technology practice delivers data-driven solutions and asset management, regulatory, and technical advice to a range of clients, both in the UK and internationally. We have an opportunity for Data Analyst to join our team and immediately add value to the clients that we are working with. Location of the role is Birmingham, Warrington, Leeds, London, Epsom – with hybrid-working supported – with potential home offices including Birmingham, Warrington, Leeds, London, Epsom.

Your purpose:

As a Data Analyst, you'll be empowered to sift through complex data sets to derive meaningful insights that support our clients’ strategic objectives.You will collaborate within cross-functional teams to interpret data, implement analytical methodologies, and deliver data-driven recommendations that align with our clients’ vision and needs.Your contributions will be optimising operations, uncovering market opportunities and influencing data-centric decisions.

We want you to help us grow our business by:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders in client organisations to understand their data needs and translate them into clear analytics requirements.
  • Applying advanced statistical techniques and data mining principles to identify patterns, trends, and relationships within the data, leveraging the Engineering, Information Management and Technology capabilities within AtkinsRealis.
  • Utilising Business Analysis techniques such as Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), Process Models, UML and State Transition Diagrams to streamline data and information operations and enhance data-driven outcomes.
  • Analysing client functional and non-functional requirements and producing database designs and data structures to support the design and development of engineering and data solutions.
  • Contributing to the development of operational improvement tools, techniques and methods that build capability within our teams and those of our clients.
  • Collecting, cleansing, and interpreting large volumes of data, ensuring accuracy and integrity in data reporting.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualisations that provide actionable insights to business units.
  • Utilising statistical software and programming languages like R, Python or SQL to analyse data and build predictive models.
  • Ensuring compliance with data governance and data protection standards.
  • Mentoring and guiding graduate and junior data analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • We are looking to develop our Asset and Information Management Systems team and are looking for enthusiastic,client and solution-oriented individuals keen to pursue a role in data and business analysis.

What can you bring?

Ideally, you will have a relevant degree or professional qualification in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field together with professional certifications such as DAMA-CDMP, CAP or similar. Equally, you will have relevant experience and skills within a data analyst role, ideally in a consultancy environment working with clients in the Asset Intensive Infrastructure industries.

  • You will have experience in agile and/or waterfall project delivery.
  • The Infrastructure Asset & Technology team works with clients to realise the potential of their Data and information Management frameworks.

  • Strategic Asset and information Management advice, including gap analysis and improvement plans against industry standards such as ISO55001 & ISO19650.
  • Asset performance monitoring and benchmarking, including the use/development of dashboards and digital tools to drive improved performance.
  • Strategic Planning including the development of risk-based decision-making tools and methodologies and prioritisation.
  • Tactical Planning.
  • Turning Business Plans into reality and delivering outcomes.
  • Assurance and regulatory advice across for UK infrastructure sector and internationally.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.  If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
